Callsign: Scope McMillan I
What’s up. I go by Scope McMillan. For as long as I can remember I’ve had a controller in my hands and been playing video games for my whole life. My father handed down a lot of his old game consoles to me and was the one to introduce me to games. I have fond memories of playing on old consoles like the Atari 2600 and SNES. I started playing online games around 2009 on the Xbox 360. There I experienced what it was like to meet and play with people around the world and make lifelong friends with people I would have never met otherwise. I eventually switched to PC gaming around 2014 and stuck with it ever since. In 2019 I helped form Volund and plan on sticking around for many years to come.
When it comes to games I’ve played almost every kind of game there is. I can play pretty much anything. First person shooters, Simulators, Roleplaying Games, MMOs, Strategy, Rougelike, Souls-like, Puzzle Games, Racing, Platformers, Fighter Games, Survival, Action and Adventure, Sandbox, Tabletop, Card Games. You name it, I play it.
Right now I’m gravitating around Sci-fi themed games of various genres.
Stellaris and Star Wars Empire at War steals a lot of my time as most Strategy games do. Needing to use a bit of your brain to get through a game is something I’ve always enjoyed.
Star Citizen is a Space Flight Sim that I’ve always dreamed of being a reality. Nothing compares to being able to fly in a fighter and shooting down enemies, being a part of a crew of large capital ships, and landing in vast open planets with huge cities all in one game.
EVE Online may be an old MMO but it’s one of the last of its kind and one I’m having fun with. There’s a charm to living a risky life in a hostile galaxy where you never know what tomorrow brings and you can lose everything you have in a blink of an eye.
Halo is my childhood love and what shaped my fondness for First Person Shooters. From the series’ fantastic campaigns, multiplayer mods, and Forge mode, Halo is a game that can’t be replaced.
